Whitewater Adventure

Take a thrilling and splash-filled river trip down the lower Spokane River Gorge. Together you will play river games and swim in the flat water sections then navigate two brief but intense rapids named Bowl and Pitcher and Devils Toenail.

At the beginning of the float, you will have 1.5-2 hours to play river games, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Spokane river prior to approaching the first rapid.

Next, you will leisurely float into Riverside State Park, the second-largest state park in Washington State where you will encounter Bowl and Pitcher Rapid. Named for two stunning basalt formations Bowl and Pitcher is a class III rapid that will get your heart going and your adrenaline pumping.

The next rapid, Devils Toenail, is also named for a basalt formation. You will be able to complete your adventure by comparing whitewater experiences, playing river games, and lounging on the raft before you end your trip at Please Flats.

Peaceful Valley Family Trip

Enjoy multiple splashy and straightforward class two rapids throughout this family-friendly adventure. Your skilled whitewater guide will introduce you to the beauty of the Spokane River with less of the adrenaline rush. This adventure is the most accessible and children as young as 5 or 6 are welcome. You will play river games and have lots of time to swim.

Roughly a mile after you begin rafting you will approach an island. Enjoy the waves as your guide navigates your group through your first rapid on the Spokane River. Expect a lot of laughter and cheering as you continue on.

There is little evidence of the urban metropolis nearby on this lovely stretch of river. As you continue down the Spokane River you might recognize the Doomsday hill from the annual Bloomsday run or “3-Springs,” a location where the Spokane Aquifer releases water back into the Spokane River.

Your adventure will end just above the class III and IV rapids that are the highlight of the whitewater float
