The Yakima River is known throughout the Pacific Northwest as one of the finest trout fisheries in the state of Washington. Only 2 hours from the Seattle area it has become a destination day trip for many anglers.
We fish from rafts that accommodate two anglers on a guided trip or 3 if you’re only renting equipment.

On a guided fly fishing tour, you will be steered downriver by a knowledgeable local guide. We provide the boat with a fishing frame, the Guide, Rods and Reels, as well as all terminal tackle. We provide a lunch upon request.

An Equipment rental comes with a 14 foot raft and a frame that accommodates 3 people. It also includes a shuttle.
When you just book a rental, one person in your party will row while the other 2 fish.
With year-round access and amazing hatches, the Yakima is Washington’s only Blue Ribbon trout stream and anglers can expect to catch Rainbow and Cutthroat trout. In the early 90s catch and release, regulations were implemented on the river to help strengthen the local rainbow trout population. The regulations have ensured the trout population’s survival and proliferation. The Yakima is quickly becoming world-known and loved by anyone who fishes her waters.
Abundant rainbows average 12 to 14 inches and reach up to 20. Cutthroats, browns, and an occasional brookie can also be caught.
Dams, reservoirs, and irrigation projects ensure that there is plenty of water for year-round fishing as well as almost continuous insect hatches. The abundance of water has encouraged large hatches of stoneflies, caddisflies, and mayflies throughout the summer months and many other smaller insects year-round. With amazing views, abundant wildlife, and unbelievable hatches the Yakima should be on your list of rivers to fish.
